Exiphore

Building infrastructure for digital truth.

Digital evidence is becoming increasingly difficult to trust. Exiphore is building the forensic infrastructure to examine, preserve and understand manipulated digital media — from synthetic video and cloned voices to altered documents and provenance gaps.

Why Exiphore exists

Exiphore started with a simple question.

What happens when seeing is no longer believing?

With a background spanning artificial intelligence, machine learning, generative AI and applied AI systems, our founder spent years building systems that could understand and generate digital content.

The other side of that capability became increasingly difficult to ignore. The same advances that make creation easier make fabrication harder to detect — and the institutions that have to adjudicate evidence were being handed a problem the tooling had not caught up with.

Exiphore was created to build the other side of that equation: systems that examine digital evidence, expose the signals behind a finding, preserve provenance, and make uncertainty explicit rather than hiding it behind a confident number.

Leadership

Founded by people who understand AI from the inside.

Founder & AI Lead

Ten years building AI systems — clinical agents, medical imaging, agentic infrastructure and AI security — and a decade of publishing how they work. Exiphore is the other side of that work: the examination, rather than the generation.

Our mission

Make digital evidence more trustworthy.

01

Evidence over assumption

Exiphore reports what its signals observe, with the reasoning attached, rather than presenting an opaque verdict as truth.

02

Uncertainty over false confidence

When evidence is insufficient or conflicting, Exiphore says inconclusive. That is a finding, not a failure.

03

Examination over automation

AI assists the examination. Human expertise remains part of the evidentiary workflow, and a named examiner signs every finding.

How we think

We don't believe a single detector should decide what is real.

Digital manipulation leaves different kinds of traces. Some signals reinforce one another. Some become unreliable under poor capture conditions. Some simply cannot provide an answer at all.

Exiphore therefore examines multiple forensic signal families and carries the limitations of each measurement through the entire examination — into the result, into the report, and into the record a court eventually reads.
